Bottom Line Fish Finder

how to repair a Bottom Line Sidefinder fish finder?

My fish finder seems to work except there are a lot of streaks on the display which make it hard to read to say the least. I cannot see how to take it apart to get at the connectors and clean them

Those are factory sealed (for a good reason). Internal faults are just not DIY repairs.

do you get the streaks regardless of boat speed?

Could be electrical noise from trolling motor or other accessories or maybe the transducer is scratched, or running in turbulence. Or if it’s a shoot-thru-hull installation, could be air bubbles in the epoxy.
